Marieke Pols is an attorney-at-law specialised in Corporate Law. She heads one of the corporate law teams and advises clients on acquisitions/exits, investment rounds, employee participation plans, and general investor and governance matters. A large number of her clients are active in the transition towards sustainable energy. She is also a co-creator of Legal Innovation for Sustainable Investments (LISI) and helped develop their template term sheet for impact investments.

Marieke studied in Leiden, where she obtained the master’s degrees in Civil Law and Corporate Law with honours. She started her career in 2016 at NautaDutilh, where she specialised in corporate M&A and venture capital. In 2019, she took the M&A-specialisation course at the VU Law Academy. In December 2020, Marieke received the award for Best Young M&A Lawyer at the annual M&A Awards of the renowned M&A Community Alex van Groningen.
