Attorney-at-law
Maud Slaghek has been working as an attorney-at-law at De Roos since September 2020. She mainly specialises in privacy law and employment law. In the field of privacy law, Maud advises organisations on a wide range of topics, including setting up a privacy-compliant business model, running privacy programs, handling data breaches as well as other ad hoc privacy issues. In addition, Maud focuses on guiding start-ups that participate in a quick growth start-up programs. In the field of employment law, Maud is involved in various cases, including guiding and assisting employers and employees in dismissal procedures, drafting contracts and providing support with everyday employment law issues.
Before joining De Roos, Maud worked at a large consultancy firm in Amsterdam specialised primarily in personal data processing. There, she advanced from a legal assistant to a corporate attorney-at-law (Privacy Officer) in charge of monitoring the processes surrounding privacy and data processing.
Maud graduated cum laude from the VU Amsterdam and received a master’s degree in Law: Internet, Intellectual Property and ICT. Prior to that, she nominally obtained a pre-master’s degree at the Open University and a bachelor’s degree in law studies from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen.
