Maurits van Zoest is a co-head of the Dispute Resolution team at De Roos, specialised in corporate & commercial litigation. His career as an attorney-at-law kicked off in 2010 with Loyens & Loeff., where he stayed for over six years working in the Litigation and Risk Management sections. After leaving Loyens & Loeff in 2016, Maurits joined an Amsterdam based boutique law firm. Afterwards, he created his own litigation practice, and, eventually, in 2020, Maurits joined De Roos as a partner.

Maurits advises and litigates in disputes in the field of corporate law and contract law. He has extensive experience in a.o. shareholder conflicts and disputes over liability, acquisitions and diverse commercial contracts. Maurits is also a co-author of the Kluwer Series ‘Rechtspraak Burgerlijk Procesrecht’.

Maurits excelled in his post-academic studies of National and International Contracting at the Grotius Academy, graduating with high honours.

Practice areas:
Maurits has registered corporate law as his legal practice area in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister), which requires one to obtain ten training credits annually in the registered legal practice area, in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
