Romée Groenewold advises on commercial contracts with a technology component. In addition, she provides guidance on emerging tech-related European legal frameworks, such as the AI Act, the Data Act, and DORA. As a member of the IT law team, she provides legal support to tech companies, focusing on navigating complex agreements and addressing challenges related to innovative products.

Romée obtained her Law degree from the University of Utrecht in 2020. In her master's programme, she focused on Intellectual Property rights and researched the European approach to disinformation for her thesis.

Throughout her studies, Romée gained experience through internships at various law firms and the Commissioner’s Office for Media. She also volunteered with Vluchtelingenwerk Midden-Nederland, an organization supporting refugees.

After graduating, Romée began teaching law at the University of Utrecht, where she supervised and assessed bachelor’s theses and taught general law courses.

Romée joined De Roos in 2022 as part of the Intellectual Property and Advertising team. Since May 2023, she has been a key member of the IT team while still regularly contributing to legal education as a guest lecturer at Utrecht University.
