Stefanie Hakkesteegt graduated cum laude from the University of Amsterdam and obtained her bachelor's degree in Law as well as a master’s degree in Civil Law. Prior to studying law, she worked as a programmer and an organiser of public events in media and politics.

During her studies Stefanie warked at the District Court of Amsterdam and she also did internships at several law firms.

As of 2023, Stefanie works at De Roos, where she mainly assists blockchain companies.
Besides her work, Stefanie is on the board of two cultural foundations and works as a voluntary mediator for BeterBuren, an organisation that helps neighbours solve disputes.
